I remember daddy's hands folded silently in prayer
And reachin' out to hold me, when I had a nightmare
You could read quite a story in the callous' and lines
Years of work and worry had left their mark behind
I remember daddy's hands how they held my mama tight
And patted my back for something done right
There are things that I'd forgotten that I loved about the man
But I'll always remember the love in daddy's hands

I need to make some changes. Some drastic changes. I need to stop smoking. It's gotten to the point that I just don't like it. So it's just a horrible habit now. I could go cold turkey but that's not very nice to the people around me. But maybe that's the only way.

I just got the fuck scared out of me big time.

I'm here seating at my kitchen table drinking coffee and getting ready to do some things...It's quiet and all of a sudden I hear this enormous loud cracking sound and I'm so confused because I have no idea whats happening. So Im freaking out a good 10 seconds of hearing this loud sound and then CRASH!! Jumping up I run to my back porch and a huge ass limb had snapped from one of the huge trees in my backyard and fell a few inches from my porch. My back porch connects to my kitchen so it fell about 10-20 feet from where I was seating. I'm still shaking from the shock of it.
